Description

This LED strip light overcomes the issues relating to voltage drop when operating continuous lengths of more than 5m.  In simple terms voltage drop causes the light strip to gradually lose it’s brightness towards the end.  Voltage drop is caused due to the inherent resistance of the LED strip, the longer the strip the greater the voltage drop.

Standard LED strip lights use resistors as a simple and cost effective way to drive the individual LEDs.  Unfortunately this method cannot combat voltage drop, but is acceptable for short lengths.  Our long series LED strip light uses onboard circuitry to drive the LEDs at a constant power regardless of voltage drop.  This method also produces smooth consistent dimming like standard LED strip light.

Most LED strips greater than 5m will suffer from voltage drop in varying degrees.  If the voltage drop is too noticeable it is advised to power the strip from both ends.  This LED strip only requires power from one end for the entire 10m length.

This LED strip carries an IP rating of 20, this is an indoor / dry environment LED strip only.

The CRI of the series is >80. We can offer LED strip with a CRI of up to 99.
