LED Drivers are a powerful and safe power supply for LED lights. When selecting your driver, check the power output is higher than your LEDs (this will be the voltage listed on your product packaging or tag). If the LED driver is running at full capacity to power the lights, it is working harder and may result in a shorter life span.
When selecting the right driver for your LED power supply, you should consider the style of fitting and where the lighting will be placed — for example, backlit signs, strips are hidden under a cabinet, and hanging ceiling lights will each have different requirements and you may want to hide the power source or have it fitted nearby. Enclosed power supplies
An enclosed LED strip power supply holds a circuit for switching AC-DC current within a metal mesh frame. The power source can be hardwired or can have a simple power chord connection to plug in at a wall powerpoint.
